We started
doing Web Design back in 1996 after several web companies messed
up many attempts at designing a web site for Artie
Photography. I couldn't believe the lack of knowledge there
was in the web industry in relation to marketing and there was no
apparent advertising skills at all.
We decided to build our own
site and it became immediately successful. We then ventured on
and built the site for Caribbean Photography Service which
also did very well and has grown immensely since the site was
developed. Many of our photography clients were really upset
with the companies that attempted to do there sites and the
prices they were asking. So one favor after another and we did
sites for a lot of our clients and also acted as a controlling consultant
on many others like The Kirby Gallery and Gems of
Barbados to mention a few.
The concept was
obvious to me but apparently escaped the attention of the
different design firms. A web site is supposed to be Attractive,
Effective, Informative, Fast & Reliable
and most importantly Generate Business. This is not
rocket science, just common sense. I found most designers try to
keep the client in the dark about the web, thereby justifying
their over inflated prices for basically nothing.
